U.S. Marine Corps FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Jacksonville, North Carolina

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Department (CD) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER. Responsibilities You will assist in the performance general financial functions such as formulation of budgets and estimates to supporting plans, programs, and activities. You will perform studies or assist other with full scale studies. You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with basic budget tasks, including formulation and reporting; supporting and learning from studies; following guidance to interpret and provide information on financial procedures; and performing entry-level tasks related to accounting systems, forecasting, and resource management under close supervision. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying budget formulation, evaluation, and reporting; conducting and supporting studies; interpreting and providing information on financial procedures; and performing specialized managerial or administrative tasks related to accounting systems, forecasting, and resource management. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education OR a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR a combination of experience and education. GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related or a combination of experience and education.
