job summary:

Tatum Professional Search is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of GAAP to assist the Controller and Assistant Controller with analytics of the financial statement, month end close, balance sheet reconciliations and much more FUN stuff! This individual will ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all of the accounting tasks. We are hiring THIS week because we want to get someone hire before August close is upon us all!

education: Bachelor's degree

experience: 2 Years

responsibilities:

• Validate AR, AP, and post entries to the GL.

• Produce Financial Statements and ensure accuracy in accordance with GAAP.

• Analyze financial information as necessary

• Make suggestions for improving spend and go through GL to find errors.

• Create SOP's for everyone to follow.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting process.

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns

• Assist with external audits to ensure compliance

• Support month-end and year-end close process

• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations

qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in Accounting

• Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Proven experience in Accounting

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

• In-depth understanding of GAAP

• CMA or CPA is preferred
