CITY OF JACKSONVILLE Seasonal - Education Facilitator in Jacksonville, Florida
: Mandatory Training: 6/8/2025 Program Start: 6/16/2025 Program End: 7/25/2025 Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This position will deliver educational based summer camp activities at several locations. May serve as the Site Leader and correspond with parents as necessary. Work may require some outdoor activities.: - Communicate with parents regarding camper registration. - Supervise and direct PT Camp Counselors. - Teaches prepared lesson to school-aged children. - Adjusts lesson to be age appropriate. - Sets up materials for activities. - Prepares and plans for upcoming lessons. - Performs related work as required.
: - Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an educational classroom role; preferably elementary education. - Must possess a Florida teaching certification. - Must pass background screening on a local, state and federal level as required by the State of Florida Children and Family Services. - Must successfully complete CPR and First Aid course which will be provided (date to be determined).
Preferred Skills: - Experienced classroom work in reading, math and science.
