responsibilities:

  • Apply understanding of corporate objectives, brand and marketing strategies, industry dynamics and internal capabilities to annual planning and ongoing account management.
  • Develop and maintain top level relationships with customers. Review, negotiate, and optimize customer program agreements and contracts. Partner with customers and team to determine sales opportunities and design programs to promote sales.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates. Partner with team on annual account planning, refinement of go-to-market channel strategy, and provision of product feedback and market intelligence.
  • Identify and communicate account specific product, promotion, and merchandising opportunities. Provides strategic direction, background, requirements, and customer insights toward development of new projects and creative briefs.
  • Communicate direction, expectations, and updates to Manufacturer Representatives toward managing day to day activities and implementing overall sales strategy. Monitors and manages performance and allocates resources for support.
  • Work with Customer Service, Finance, and Distribution on customer logistics and payment issues as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly/quarterly reports showing sales performance, sales potential, ROI of promotions and competitive activity. Submit detailed and timely customer meeting recaps.
  • Establish annual sales forecasts and adjusts to market conditions.
  • Analyze, control, and approve expenditures for assigned accounts. Ensure that expenses are in conformance with budgetary requirements.
  • Work with team to develop and deliver meaningful presentations at customer meetings. Represent company at tradeshows, industry meetings and customer events.
  • Work with team on regular monitoring of POS trends, measurement of promotional performance, line optimization and industry analyses for assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with Account Specialists to maintain accurate account information and promotional documentation including Retail Distribution Grid, BTS Audits and Calendar of Retail Trade Promotion.

education and experience requirements:

[Bachelors degree plus minimum of five years related experience, preferably in a consumer products environment. Proven history of increasing sales within retailers, Grocery and Art retailer selling experience preferred.]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

skills required:

[Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of influencing decision making. Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
