Aerotek Quality Control Technician in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the quality of the plastic bags produced by our operators. Your primary responsibilities will include walking the manufacturing floor to inspect machinery and materials against quality standards, using a checklist for guidance. You will conduct product tests, mainly visual, in our quality room. These tests will involve looking for any defects, conducting weight tests, and checking seals. You will also be required to use computers to document your findings. This is a contract position with a duration of 3-6 months with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.

Details:

  • Training shift: 7am-7pm

  • Once trained, shifts are 1pm-1am

  • 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off

  • Pay: $18/Hr

Experience:

  • 1+ years of quality or visual inspection of manufactured products

  • Quality inspection documentation - data entry for inspection findings

  • Utilization of quality equipment to test manufactured product's weight capacity

  • Experience with operating computers- Excel, outlook, etc.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment

You will be working in a loud and hot manufacturing facility. The role is split between the climate-controlled testing room and the manufacturing floor. You should be comfortable working in heat and noise. The role is on a 12-hour overnight rotating shift, requiring the ability to work with minimal supervision. This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.
