Home Depot Large Equipment Lead Rental Technician in Jacksonville, Florida
MUST RESIDE WITHIN 20 MILES OF LOCATION: JACKSONVILLE
This position reports directly to the Regional Rental Manager (RRM), and follows the daily priorities as set by the Rental Field Operations Manager (FORM) and RRM. The Lead Rental Technician (LRT) is a skilled technician, adept at performing a full range of equipment repairs on light construction equipment.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
10% Collaborate with Customers and Peers - Communicates with other technicians, store associates, and customers in order to fully understand the mechanical problems being reported
10% Manages Parts Inventory - Obtains parts needed for repairs, while maintaining accurate parts inventory
10% Plan Repairs - Reviews Down Equipment Report and communicates with Rental Field Operations Manager to prioritize repairs and service calls
60% Repair and Maintain Equipment - Diagnose, maintain and repair all components of the machine, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems, and brake systems
10% Work Documentation - Utilizes company technology platform to document all work performed on equipment, including labor, and parts

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
