iVenture Solutions, Inc. IT Systems Administrator in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

The IT System Administrator will be based in Jacksonville, FL. In this role you will and support, install, maintain, and support desktops (Mac and Windows), local networks, tablets and smartphones and common desktop applications. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will also install new PCs, migrate data, resolve issues escalated from the help desk, and resolve network issues at multiple sites.

The IT System Administrator position is ideal for fast-paced, detailed driven, eager to learn Information Technology professionals with a focus on great customer service. Success in this position requires solid technical depth with Windows desktops and applications, with exposure to Windows server technologies.

You are a great IT System Administrator candidate if you have.....

  • Bachelor’s Degree , business related field preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years supporting current windows desktop technologies, local area networks, and some exposure to Microsoft server. Specifics include:

  • All current Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Latest current OS)

  • Exposure to Microsoft Windows Server (Latest current OS)

  • Active Directory Account Management, Group Policy within the Windows Desktop

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals and related equipment (switches, routers, etc.)

  • Experience with multi-user remote access technologies preferred, but not required.

  • A+ and Net+ preferred, but not required

  • Flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend client and team member needs

  • Participation in an on-call rotation (approximately every 5-8 weeks)

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent customer service skills

What you'll be doing as an IT System Administrator…..

  • Install and support a wide range of PC and PC related applications, Windows and Mac

  • Interact with users in-person daily on technology use, iVenture accepted practices and issue resolution

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and resolve issues such as internet bandwidth problems, ISP issues and firewall / router changes

  • Provide Tier 2 desktop and application support, including new user setups, line of business application support, and hosted application support.

  • Produce, maintain and update technical documentation

  • Work remotely (50% from our office) and onsite (50% at our local client locations)

  • mileage reimbursement available

  • Organize and execute desktop projects, ranging from 1 day – 2 weeks

  • Typical Week: 30% Windows server support, 50% escalated desktop/app support, 10% network support, 5% training and 5% admin/meetings

Additional Information:

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable transportation. This position will require some in-frequent travel to the other client offices as needed.
