JPMorgan Chase Home Lending Data and Analytics - Data Scientist Associate Senior in Jacksonville, Florida

As a Data Scientist Associate Senior, in our Home Lending Data and Analytics Team, you will have the ability to understand data relationships, design efficient data models, and take initiative and ownership of data tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform data discovery work to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources to help develop various types of data-driven Home Lending products/initiatives.
Build algorithms to make joining datasets without unique keys possible
Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
Create data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
Partner with key Stakeholders and Business to ensure their foundational data needs are being addressed.
Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach and learn new technology and techniques
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and/or Economics; 5+ years of data and analytics experience
Strong technical knowledge of data infrastructure practices and tools, such as SQL
Experience with reporting technologies like Tableau and SSRS
Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
Proven excellence at formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine quantitative problems
Aptitude for learning new theory and new technology
Experience working with one or more of Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, Microsoft SQL DBs and beginner/intermediate knowledge of AWS cloud solutions (S3, RDS, Athena, RedShift, Aurora).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology, or finance
Cognos a plus
3 + years mortgage experience preferred
