This job is primarily customer service based, and a friendly face is the first thing the customer wants to see when they walk into our dealership. This is where you come in. A smile is contagious, and a positive attitude can win anyone over. Why? Because some customers will be renting vehicles for fun and other customers are having vehicle trouble, and not very excited to be receiving a rental car. Either way, you will be the person that makes our customers have a great experience renting a car from us at Arlington Toyota…….so prepare to be challenged. Customers are different, and learning from previous interactions will be necessary. Being adaptable and dealing with adversity appropriately is the hallmark of success in this organization.   Job Responsibilities * Answering Phones - taking messages, confirming future reservations, calling overdue customers, and making reservations. * Maintaining the Rental Fleet - mileage, fuel, plate expiration, service (oil change, tire rotation etc.) recording damage on check-in and appropriately charging customer. (fleet consists of 80-90 vehicles depending on time of year) * Cleaning the Rental Fleet - You will be required to detail vehicles. (all equipment will be provided) * Making Insurance Claims - When a customer has an accident, you will be required (in some cases) to help the customer make the insurance claim. (you will be trained to handle any situation) * Taking Payment - You will be required to take the customers payment and receipt the payment in our dealer management software (Reynolds and Reynolds) * General Office Work - Organizing paperwork, filing, keeping the workspace clean, making sure all purchase orders and due bills (payments from other departments) are accounted for.
