Citigroup AVP, Oracle Accounting Foundation Cloud Service Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida

Citi has embarked on a multi-year Finance Transformation initiative to implement a new Global Financial Accounting and General Ledger platform that provides a daily ledger in every legal entity, linking ledger balances and contract level reconciliations to our daily settlement records and contractual commitments. The Strategic Ledger program as it is named, selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform of choice, after a rigorous technical and functional assessment of the firm’s current ledger platforms against leading industry solutions. The new platform provides enhanced technical capability and supports our finance transformation strategy and realization of our Target Operating Model. The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

An Oracle Functional Consultant is required at Assistant Vice President level to be part of the Strategic Ledger program. The consultant will play a key role in implementation of Oracles ERP and Accounting Foundation Cloud Service solutions for Citi ensuring an alignment of product functionality with business needs. The consultant will have a good understanding of Oracle applications gained from previous implementations of Oracle ERP Cloud, (General Leger and/or Accounting Hub), EBS, OFSAA or similar enterprise grade resource planning solutions e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4 HANA or SAP Bank Analyzer solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all functional delivery activities from requirements gathering, solution design and deployment activities across the Oracle applications in the Strategic Ledger Platform.

  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to guide discussions on fit/gap analysis and solution design.

  • Provide support for running requirements and design workshops.

  • Manage logs of enhancement request for specific Oracle products and track progress to delivery, testing and close.

  • Provide support for development of test scripts and work with test teams to maintain traceability to business and functional requirements.

  • Provide hands on support during testing and business readiness activities.

  • Work closely with Finance and program cross functional teams to support testing and business readiness activities.

Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in a consulting role.

  • Evidence of having worked in a transformation program implementing any of Oracle’s Finance solutions.

  • Understanding of accounting concepts both US GAAP and IFRS, general ledger processes, Chart of Accounts design, and close, consolidation processes.

  • Understanding of the regulatory and control requirements around Citi’s ledgers including ICOFR and SOX.

  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized.

  • Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

  • Strong written/verbal communications skills; must be concise, articulate, and clear

  • Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations.

  • Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed.

  • Experience of operating in a disciplined program management environment.

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or related field of study required

  • CPA or equivalent will be a differentiator

  • A relevant Oracle or SAP expert certification will be an advantage

$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
