Aerotek Assembly Technician in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Assembly Technician to join our team. The role involves the manufacturing and mechanical assembly in a heavy-industrial manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of the system, working with sheet metal and assembling the metal enclosures. Use of hand and power tools, including drills, tape measures, screw drivers, wrenches, and impact tools, will be a key part of the role. The technician will assemble units from a blueprint and work order, working in teams. The role will involve physical work, requiring standing, stooping, and bending throughout the day to access various assemblies of the units.

Overview:

  • Manufacturing facility (non-climate controlled)

  • Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm or 2:00pm-12:00am (M-F, overtime available)

  • Pay: $16.50-$17.50/hr+ (based on interview/shift)

  • Location: Jacksonville, FL

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position - benefits, 401k, and weekly pay available while on contract

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in non-climate controlled environments (outdoors, manufacturing, or warehouse)

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Ability to read tape measure

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently

  • Experience reading blueprints is a plus, but not required

  • Manufacturing experience is preferred

  • Mechanical knowledge
