Six Flags Public Safety Coordinator Supervisor in Jackson, New Jersey
Description
Six Flags Great Adventure Resort is seeking candidates for the position of Public Safety Coordinator Supervisor.
Duties / Responsibilities - Including but not limited to the following:
Ensure calls for service are answered promptly and efficiently by members of the Safety Coordinators / Emergency Services Unit.
Educate employees on safety standards and procedures
Maintain all Safety Department equipment and supplies
Ensure timely completion of all audits, inspections, investigations, and other required documentation by the Safety Coordinators
Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
Act as a liaison between the Park and external partners, such as fire and EMS agencies
Conduct safety inspections before or during construction projects to analyze safety risks
Prepare, conduct, and document training evolutions for the Safety Coordinators
Ensure compliance with appropriate NFPA, OHSA, State and Federal regulations
Ensure high quality guest interaction between team members and the guest
Conduct scheduling, coaching, and employee development
Complete any additional tasks assigned by leadership
Maintain a professional, friendly, and efficient environment for guests and team members
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid driver’s license at all times
Must have obtained a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
New Jersey Firefighter I certified ICS – 100, ICS-200.c (in-person), IS-700, IS-800
Current EMT-B Certification (New Jersey State or National Registry)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and park leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Pump Operations
Hazardous Materials On-Scene Incident Commander
At least 1 year experience with Six Flags Great Adventure
Understanding of federal, state, and local safety requirements
At least 3 years of experience in fire / medical related discipline
