Six Flags Great Adventure Food Service Worker in Jackson, New Jersey

Six Flags Great Adventure (SFGA) is looking to fill Food Service Worker positions at 1 Six Flags Blvd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527. Temp, FT positions & looking to fill approx 150 positions from 11/19/24 to 1/03/25. Phone: (732) 928-2000.

Job Duties: Providing guests with excellent service & quality food while operating cash register in accordance with SF cash handling policies. Interact with guests, team members, leads, & sups daily. Resolve guest concerns that arise daily. Ensure image, cleanliness, & courtesy standards are met daily. Duties include filling condiment dispensers, refilling soda machine syrups, timely preparation of food served to customers. Fast food items served: fruit, vegs, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken strips, french fries, onion rings, funnel cakes, dispensing soft serve &scooping hard packed ice cream. Assist with prep for the day, getting things such as condiments prep & cut, items unpacked from freezer; prepare the various food items; clean up all the cooking equip at the end of the shift maintain regular & prompt attendance, be positive, in uniform, on time for each scheduled shift. Employer is offering at least 35 hrs/wk at a rate of $16.85/hr; 11am-9pm. Days/Shifts may vary. Holidays, weekends, & evenings required as needed. OT available as needed at $24.12/hr. OT will be paid for working > than 40 hrs/wk. Employer is offering up to 15 hrs/wk of OT as needed, but not guaranteed. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker in their sole discretion based on performance, skill, tenure, or experience. Up to the first 3 wks of employment will consist of at least 35 hrs/wk of paid OJT.

Transportation: If worker completes 50% of work contract period, employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical & reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts.

Requirements: No training, educ, or exp required. A pre-employment criminal background check will be required at employers expense.

Housing: Optional employer housing provided at $100/wk. Tools, supplies & equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job. Other Employment Guarantees: A single wrkwk will be used for computing wages due & workers will be paid every 2 wks. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law & no deductions which are not reqrd by law. If worker chooses to live in optional housing provided by SFGA $100/wk will be payroll deducted for housing expenses. H2B wrkrs will be reimbursed in the ist workwk for all visa, visa processing, border crossing & other related fees including those mandated by the gov. (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H2B worker.
