This Position is for a Senior Project Manager AP Curriculum Remote, with a remote work location in Jackson, MS.

The Senior Project Manager is a key leader in the development of students. 

Specifically, the Project Manager will: Direct and manage the project lifecycle, including developing a detailed project plan, developing and monitoring budgets, and defining and documenting project scope and deliverables that support the goals and financial objectives. Guides, directs, and motivates the project team and encourages accountability and teamwork.

  Partner with cross-functional teams as well as external vendors, consultants, and committee members to rigorously plan, monitor and transition all work outcomes into an operational environment. Facilitate project team meetings, produce documents and presentations, and communicate and document open issues, next steps, and rationale for decisions. Produce highly effective status reports for all tracks of work and overall project health and assists with developing presentation materials. Maintain program documentation including policy and process artifacts as well as proper version control of system-of-record information. Monitor and document changing business case assumptions and perform analysis to understand long-term implications and to inform operational decision making. Monitor and escalate areas of risk across multiple, integrated work streams to ensure overall project and budget goals are met. Leads the coordination and planning for implementation of ongoing enhancements based on comprehensive input from a variety of stakeholders. Assist in identifying and solutioning future enhancements to support overall program strategy and customer needs.

  Assist in the refinement of business case analysis for key, large-scale initiatives and aid in the execution of these initiatives.

Qualifications. Strong candidates for this role have: A minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible full-time professional project management work experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent. Formal project management credential:  e.g. CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA certification or a project management certificate from an accredited institution. Experience with secondary schools or school systems and knowledge of secondary school and school system operations and environment preferred. Clear ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Excellent judgment and the ability to view situations and issues from multiple perspectives that leads to effective resolution of issues. Advanced verbal and written communication skills and a record of leveraging interpersonal skills to collaborate well with others. A strong organization system, excellent prioritization skills, and a predisposition towards action and production of results. A customer-centric, empathetic, service-oriented, and organization-first mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office applications. They ideally would also have: Previous experience with new product development for educational products. Master's degree and/or Master of Project Management.
