This Position is for a Relationship Banker II -- Floater with a work location in the Jackson, MS area.
Overview
Relationship Bankers are responsible for identifying customer needs and matching them with the appropriate bank products and services to enhance a current or prospective customer's satisfaction, loyalty, and financial well-being. Utilizing proactive sales/service efforts coupled with the recognition of referral opportunities, Relationship Bankers will deepen customer relationships while also processing a variety of cash and non-cash transactions. (Duties may vary from branch to branch)
Relationship Banker II - Floaters will travel between assigned branch locations.
Responsibilities
Identify customer needs and make the appropriate referrals through proactive sales/service efforts.
Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance products, cash management services, etc.
Continually safeguard the bank's assets and security of the working environment while processing transactions accurately (deposits and withdrawals for transaction accounts, collection items, wire transfers, credit card transactions, and loan payments).
Maintain and balance a cash drawer. Abundant cash handling is expected.
Open, close, and maintenance accounts.
Must achieve sales and referral goals quarterly while providing excellent customer service and utilizing opportunities to transform service into sales.
Making outreach calls to customers and/or prospects.
Meet and greet public in a professional manner that reinforces Trustmark's service standards.
All work must be performed within the bank's guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of performance.
Maintain and balance a cash drawer. Cash handling is expected.
Potentially manage, coach, and provide training for other Relationship Bankers and/or Tellers; manage scheduling and overtime, conduct required meetings, jointly complete performance appraisals, and delegate additional duties as required.
Processing oversight and responsibility to review/approve various transactions, such as night drop contracts/logs, ATM deposits, collection items, money orders, official checks, and cash drawers.
Potential for cash shipment and vault management.
Potential for loan origination responsibilities and administration thereof.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Travel between branch locations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn internal technology systems to perform work tasks
Understanding of basic math concepts and principles
Must pass appropriate assessment tests
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
Time management skills
Detail oriented -- must be able to process transactions accurately and efficiently
Ability to display professional appearance and mannerisms
Experience in maintaining and balancing a cash drawer preferred
Minimum twelve (12) months face-to-face customer service experience
Minimum twelve (12) months sales experience
Exceptional customer service and sales skills
Four-year college education or equivalent work experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Working knowledge of the banking industry and its processes preferred
