SodexoMAGIC is seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Manager 3 for Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. The campus is located in the capital city of Mississippi.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Food Operations Manager 3 will oversee the day to day operations of JSU Resident Dining , manage multiple managers and supervisors and up to 60 hourly employees and will ensure an inviting, safe dining experience for our students, including food quality, customer service, food quality and safety. This Operations Manager position is second in command and offers great career growth opportunities!

Are You the One? We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

  • have 3-5 years management experience in a multi-unit high volume dining environment;

  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;

  • demonstrate working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficiency in computer skills/report management; and

  • have a valid driver's license - is required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
