This is a postion for a Senior Director, Strategic Finance (Remote) with a company located in Jackson.

 

Job Summuary: About the Team  - Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)   - The SSD team at College Board is a close knit, dedicated team of 28 people with a passion for helping test-takers with disabilities from around the world receive appropriate accommodations on College Board tests. The team is committed to providing exceptional decision making, education, and outreach to support test-takers, school personnel, and family members/guardians. We pride ourselves on being thorough and knowledgeable by staying current in the field. We also work closely with various College Board teams including but not limited to ACO, AP, SAT Suite of Assessments, and our State and District Partners. 

 

About the Opportunity  - You will be instrumental in College Board's mission to clear a path for all students to own their future.  College Board provides accommodations to test-takers with disabilities so they can demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Your role will ensure that College Board exams accurately reflect the test-taker's aptitude/achievement rather than their disability. â?¯ 

 

A Clinical Manager is an integral member of a team of professionals responsible for ensuring that test-takers with disabilities have access to all College Board tests. Under the direction of the Directors of Clinical Review, you assist with all activities associated with evaluating students' disability documentation to determine eligibility for accommodations on College Board tests (i.e., SAT Suite of Assessments; AP, CLEP). Additionally, the Clinical Manager communicates with school personnel, test- takers, families/guardians, and other College Board departments regarding documentation and accommodations, and serves as a resource in understanding psycho-educational assessment. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Documentation Review and Determination (80%). Conduct cross program reviews of documentation from students seeking accommodations on College Board tests. Produce accurate and well-reasoned eligibility determinations that ensure access to College Board tests for test-takers with disabilities. 

 

Outreach & Customer Service (15%): Handle direct verbal and written communications with secondary schools, education professionals (counselors, psychologists, etc.), parents/guardians, and test-takers relevant to decisions, documentation, and accommodations. Listen carefully and with empathy to parent and test-taker concerns. Educate the caller about the review and appeal processes. Provide guidance on how accommodations are provided on College Board tests to ensure the test-takers needs are being addressed by the approved accommodations. Maintain communication with relevant professional organizations to highlight College Board's mission to serve test-takers with disabilities. 

 

Collaboration, Consultation and Technology (5%): Use various databases to gather relevant student data. Consult and collaborate with colleagues from both intra and interdisciplinary professions (psychology, neuropsychology, audiology, vision experts, medical experts). Provide and receive feedback to ensure the effectiveness, quality assurance and efficiency of the eligibility process. Produce materials that provide information relevant to accommodations on College Board tests, including presentations, print and web-based educational tools, and resources to be used for training and professional development. 

 

Education and Qualifications: Education/Experience: Psy.D./Ph.D. degree in relevant psychological and education area. 4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level. Knowledge of secondary school issues/trend related to test-takers with disabilities. Extensive knowledge of assessments and procedures as they relate to the determination of various disabilities and appropriate accommodations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to team members, other professionals, educators, test-takers, and parents/guardians. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, instructional/training skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously and prioritize judiciously. Enjoy and demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Strong orientation toward growth, with an ability to give and receive feedback. The ability and desire to learn about relevant College Board programs. Demonstrate a passion for College Board's mission.  Authorized to work in the USA for any employer

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $104,000 to $165,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary. Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
