Mayo Auto Clinic has job openings available for an ASE Certified Service Writer. We're looking for honest, dedicated, customer-service oriented people to join our team at Raymond, MS.
Service Writers are responsible for working as a liaison between customers and a variety of automotive service providers, including mechanics, dealerships, and other related entities. You work as an advisor to explain to customers the repairs that may be needed on their vehicle and the suggestions being made by the mechanic. Service Writers are responsible not only for the service we provide, but also Mayo Auto Clinic's reputation as a trustworthy and dependable auto shop. Because of this, a successful service writer will have a strong understanding of automotive maintenance & repair, strong attention to detail, and a dedication to honesty and fairness.
Automotive Service Writers are Responsible for:
- Greet customers and answer phones
- Help customers determine their service and maintenance needs
- Provide information regarding standard maintenance schedules and benefits
- Record all pertinent customer vehicle information
- Perform follow-up calls and emails
- Make, change, and cancel service appointments as necessary
Applicants are required to be:
- Available for an in-person interview
- At least 18 years old
- Recipients of a high school diploma or GED
- In possession of a valid driver's license
- Familiar with multiple makes and models of vehicles
- Committed to keeping up to date on automotive knowledge
- Dependable, honest and organized
- Available to work weekends and some holidays
