Cardinal Health Advisor, Indirect Procurement Sourcing - IT Software in Jackson, Mississippi
Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers, and patients. The Sourcing Advisor, Indirect Procurement develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation. Performs analysis to select suppliers and negotiates best value for Cardinal Health. Provides supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute procurement processes and resolve technical and process issues as identified.
This is a remote role! Ideal candidate will be based in Eastern or Central time.
Responsibilities
Category Sourcing Lead for IT Software
Primary Souring business partner support for key stakeholders within assigned indirect categories.
Work closely with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) events within assigned indirect categories.
Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups within assigned categories.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract and purchasing terms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
3-4 years of experience in a related field that includes strategic sourcing (indirect or direct), category management, supplier management and negotiation experience preferred.
Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to successfully communicate with all levels of the organization, as well as with external supplier partners.
Demonstrates a strong financial acumen.
Strong project and process management skills.
Well versed in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) tools. Knowledge of enterprise software like SAP and SAP Ariba is a plus.
Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $113,800
