Fastemps is hiring for *Quality Technician *on all shifts in Jackson - MUST have experience!

POSITION: Quality Technician LOCATION: Jackson, MI
COMPENSATION: $19.00 or more DOE HOURS: 1st shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday 2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday to Friday 3rd shift - 11:00pm - 7:30am, Monday to Friday *OVERTIME HOURS: *As needed basis - Stay two extra hours or work a Saturday
POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is focused around documentation, Quality inspections, RTV, and Scrap.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate material issues back to vendors (Casting -- Forging non-conformities)
- Request Material RGA/RMA from suppliers in order to get material returned for analysis.
- Able to accurately use gages applicable to CNC machining. (i.e. Dial Bore Gages, Micrometers, Calipers, Plug Gages, Thread Plugs, Master Rings)
- Able to perform Full Dimensional Layouts on product for PPAP purposes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AIAG Core Tool (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA PFMEA)
- Working understanding of GD&T
- IATF awareness
- Demonstrate proficiency in problem solving methodology with applicable problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
- Able to perform Process and Product audits relative to the internal QMS along with Customer Specific Requirements
- Provide production job packages and job specific documentation (ex. part labels).
- Complete setup reports and verify measured readings from the floor.
- Support and execute containment activities.
- The ability to run a CMM.
- Implement process improvements.
- Support the creation of Standard Work instructions.

Skills Gages, calibrations, quality Certified gage training, problem solving, controlled documentation
Experience Basic knowledge of the above responsibilities
