Large utility is looking for a Pipeline Mechanical Engineer in Jackson, MI (Per diem available for non-local candidates). This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain mechanical systems within natural gas transmission facilities, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations through detailed calculations, documentation . responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, implement, or improve mechanical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, products, or systems.

• Perform engineering tasks using computer-assisted design (CAD) or engineering software.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.

• Ensure installation and operations adhere to standards and customer requirements through mechanical specifications and technical drawings.

• Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards through detailed calculations.

• Direct or coordinate installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities to ensure compliance.

• Write reports and compile data on mechanical engineering projects and studies.

Skills:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills; mechanical and technical skills.

• Proficient with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and Bentley ProjectWise with aptitude for learning new software.

• Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) software.

• Written and verbal communication skills.

• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
