Job Summary:

The Employee Housing/Recreation Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the employee village in the absence of the Employee Village Manager, which includes dormitory housing for approximately 500 employees, laundry facilities, and recreation facilities, including additional duties related to housekeeping and grounds keeping. This individual additionally assists the Recreation Department with scheduling and setting up events.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Housekeeping

  • Assist with preparation of employee housing at the beginning of the season by ordering supplies, taking opening inventories and submitting maintenance lists for repairs needed.

  • Assist with preparation of schedules for cleaning and office hours.

  • Supervises and works with the employee village attendants who perform daily custodial & grounds keeping duties throughout Employee Village. This includes a daily walk through and inspection of the facility.

  • Assist with closing Employee Village at end of season, cleaning all facilities and stripping, sealing and waxing all floors. Prepares closing inventories and final reports

  • Willing to be available for lockouts, phone messages, emergencies, etc. from 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.

  • Conducts rounds as needed to ensure that no unnecessary disturbances or infractions of rules are taking place. Works closely with Security in protecting life and property.

  • Assist with the implementation of the company's Hazard Communication program for the employee village by ensuring safe use of the cleaning/ chemical products.

  • Works with employee residents to mediate disputes and/or housing or maintenance problems

  • Other duties as assigned

Recreation

  • Promotes Activities Calendar within the employee population and assists with recreational activities recruitment / sign-ups.

  • Leads a minimum of 1 weekly employee activity trip (shopping, hiking, outing, experience)

  • Assists the Employee Village Rec Manager in the development of recreational opportunities

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to deal with a diverse group of employees

  • Must work swing shift and be on call

  • Should possess good comunication skills to deal effectively with employees, supervisors, and management personnel

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must have a valid US driver's license and successful MVR completion

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:

  • Prior Housekeeping experience

The expected pay range is $19.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
