Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and crane. Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with heavy equipment. Repairing and maintaining engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components. Performing preventative maintenance on heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life. Ordering and replacing damaged or worn parts. Operating various diagnostic and repair equipment such as welding tools, hoists, and jacks. Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are done in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Keeping accurate records of all repairs and maintenance done on heavy equipment. Communicating with supervisors and other mechanics regarding equipment issues and repair solutions.
