Overview:

 

* Job Overview:*

 

The Executive Chef leads our culinary team at Basalt, the signature steakhouse of Black Desert Resort. This position requires exceptional culinary skills, a deep understanding of fine dining service, and a passion for steakhouse cuisine. The Executive Chef will be responsible for delivering an extraordinary dining experience to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

 

* Job Specification:*

 

Onsite: Black Desert Resort Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time The budgeted range starts at $80,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

 

* Job Responsibilities but not limited:*

  • Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect the steakhouse theme, focusing on quality steaks and upscale accompaniments.
  • Source high-quality, sustainable meat and produce, ensuring the freshest and finest ingredients are utilized.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to the highest culinary standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with the management te am to align the culinary direction with the overall vision of the resort.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, and in entory, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Engage with guests to receive feedback, manage special requests, and ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Stay abreast of current culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques and presentations into the menu.

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end steakhouse or fine dining establishment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of developing high-quality, creative menus and leading a successful kitchen team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of best practices for meat handling, preparation, and cooking.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $80,000.00/Yr. - $90,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
