Therm, Incorporated a leader in providing innovative machining solutions to a global market, is currently seeking a qualified individual to perform the duties of Quality Assurance Engineer.-Full time: First Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)-Overtime as needed or assigned-Great Benefits-Starting wage dependent upon experiencePRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide Quality Assurance support for production and inspection operations as related to the manufacture of turbine blades and vanes.Generation and maintenance of Quality Planning documents including Inspection Record Sheets, First Article Inspection Reports and Flowdown of Quality Requirements (QR1001) to Sub-Tier Suppliers.Communicate and work effectively with Customers and internal departments, such as Sales & Marketing, Inspection, Manufacturing, Production Control and Engineering to resolve Quality issues related to assigned products and /or processes.Monitoring of and action as necessary , the SPC data generated to support the processing of Part Numbers and/or processes as assigned.Auditing of processes and documentation as applicable and as required by the Quality management System and Therm's customers.Provide Quality Assurance support to the Project Engineers.Other functions as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to and including 70 pounds.Must pass a physical examination including drug testing.Background checks also performed.EDUCATION AND SKILLS:Good verbal (telephone) and written communication skills.A high school diploma is required; some post high school training such as SPC is preferred.Ability to work with schedules, deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently and/or several projects simultaneously.Must have computer skills and be able to work with Spreadsheets, Word-processor and be familiar with the submittal of data via the Internet.Experience with reading blue prints and reading and interpreting Customer and Industry Specifications and converting them to Quality Requirements and Plans.Will be trained for certification to Customer Sourcing requirements.BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO FULL TIME EMPLOYEES:Major Medical Health Ins with Rx PlanLife / ADD Insurance56 hours of annual Paid Personal TimeHolidays401(k) Retirement PlanAFLAC of NYLtd.Dental and Vision InsuranceFlex Spending AccountPaid VacationEmployee Referral Incentive ProgramTuition ReimbursementEAP- Employee Assistance ProgramTHERM, Incorporated is an EEO/AA Employer.
