Fellowes Warehouse Assembler - $15/hr - 1st Shift (6am - 2pm) in Itasca, Illinois

Starting wage is $15 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. This is a temp-to-hire position with potential to be hired on as a full time Fellowes employee with benefits (see below).

The Role

Assemble and package raw materials into finished goods on either an automated or manual line according to the bill of materials.

You Will...

  • Assemble and pack components according to specifications, using required equipment for each job. Equipment may include tapers, stitchers, rivet and eyelet machines, hand jacks, stretch wrappers, and other machinery as needed.

  • Assist in line changeovers, positioning of material, and returning raw materials to stock.

  • Inspect raw components and finished goods to ensure quality.

  • Using the Bill of Material, verify correct components for each production run.

  • Complete required documents as needed for each production run.

  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment through the enforcement of housekeeping safety policies.

  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals, and environment.

  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Ability to work in a machine paced environment and meet production targets.

  • Ensure close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a consistent basis.

  • Physical presence at designated worksite, work a 40 hour work schedule, maintain consistent and acceptable attendance and work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.

  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.

  • Ability to work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.

  • Must be able to consistently lift up to 25 pounds throughout an 8 hour shift.
