Fellowes National Account Manager (Amazon and E-Commerce) in Itasca, Illinois

As our National Account Manager, you will drive revenue and profitability for our fast-growing E-Commerce business. You will collaborate closely with Amazon vendor managers, internal resources, external support organizations and 3rd party representation to identify and execute against all business needs/opportunities and to manage the successful execution of all aspects of the business. You will own sales strategy development and execution at Amazon and other pureplay E-Commerce customers, and manage forecast, budgets, share positioning and private label growth opportunities where valid.

This role will report into the Head of Sales, Retail & E-Commerce and can be based in any major U.S. metropolitan area.

You will…

Drive revenue & profitability:

  • Manage and determine product assortments online to increase and maximize sales and profitability

  • Manage relationships with Amazon vendor managers and our 3rd party rep group in a way that optimizes resources and drives profitable sales

  • Lead annual program negotiations to maximize account profitability

  • Create and manage programs that drive page 1 placement to drive revenue

  • Conduct ROI analysis to ensure profitability during promotion

  • Leverage internal resources to determine and manage optimized pricing positioning to optimize sales

  • Design and implement promotions that drive incremental profitability and create brand awareness

  • Drive efficient and effective AMS/AMG spending plans to drive Search & Awareness results

  • Work to optimize Fellowes profitability through direct import distribution

  • Work to reduce Fellowes Cost To Serve by optimizing fulfilment of orders to help reduce shipping costs, reduce fines and drive positive PPM for Amazon and CM% for Fellowes

Coordinate and lead internal resources:

  • Be the “Voice of Amazon” within Fellowes as our core subject matter expert

  • Build internal relationships through time spent in Fellowes HQ (Itasca, IL) to ensure thorough support of all customer initiatives

  • Work closely with fellow team members and cross functional sales partners to ensure the Amazon strategy coordinates and supports the broader needs of our overall E-Commerce strategy in an effort to minimize channel conflict

  • Identify and cover additional E-Comm pureplay accounts to drive growth

  • Work closely with Fellowes’ Business Teams (marketing) to execute strategic initiatives, including new product launches, promotional activity and pricing

  • Work with global branding to create optimized content and drive positive reviews for all focus items online via our Content Process

  • Manage and integrate the business development manager into the Amazon business to support focus items on the 5Ps

  • Work with customer service team to ensure properly executed POs and exceed all customers logistics metrics for fill rate and on time arrival

  • Leverage the Fellowes category management resource to identify and address product and pricing opportunities with E-Comm customers

  • Manage customer spend vs. budget with support from finance

  • Support the demand planning team to ensure availability for all items

  • Coordinate and lead quarterly reviews of business performance against goals and customer expectations.

What You Bring to the Team

  • A minimum of 10 years in a similar national sales/account management experience, to include extensive experience working with Amazon and other major E-Commerce retailers

  • Experience managing direct reports and outside partner entities

  • A bachelor’s degree

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools, Vendor Central and other customer portals

  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and with customers that results in customer loyalty, accretive share gain and repeat business

  • Strategic thinking and experience developing growth in mature industries

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • The ability to travel up to 40%
