Fellowes Head of Global IT in Itasca, Illinois

As our Head of Global IT, you will lead all aspects of the IT function for Fellowes globally, to include developing the strategy, execution and day-to-day technical operations of the teams. There will be a specific focus on a successful implementation of a Global ERP Roadmap (Oracle) as well as the development of a vision for other business technology solutions across multiple disciplines to increase our competitiveness and achieve our strategic growth goals. Additionally, you will provide expert direction and oversight for major decisions, ensuring high availability and performance for all technology while managing a team of resources who provide fast, high quality and reliable service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Work with various business leaders to roadmap and manage the technology portfolio from physical data centers, software-defined networks, Cloud and satellite technologies

  • Act as an advocate and primary owner of our information security vision via regular written and in-person communications with executives, department heads and end-users

  • Remain current on industry best practices and trends, recommending improvements and upgrades accordingly

  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery plan for productivity services

  • Oversee integration of systems for current and future acquisitions

  • Drive success in hiring, mentoring and leading a team of skilled technology professionals to ensure high performance and professional development and retention

Governance / Compliance

  • Ensure solutions meet all legal, compliance, internal controls and accounting standards

  • Ensure information security policies, products and procedures are in keeping with industry regulations and all relevant legislation

  • Oversee IT procurement lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders

  • Approve major contracts with vendors for all technology, communications and information systems, service and equipment purchases

  • Develop systems to proactively monitor, collect and communicate global product and service requirements including government, customer, sustainability, compliance, certification and safety regulations

What You Bring to the Team

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in information technology, to include demonstrated leadership experience as well as experience in selection, implementation and support of Oracle ERP and CRM technologies

  • Experience with designing, implementing or operating IT systems to support global operations on leading commercial Cloud platforms

  • Experience with distributed operations and can understand the complexities of integrating a successful data-driven connected enterprise

  • Experience integrating legacy platforms and applications with Cloud-based systems

  • Experience supporting Production applications or workloads in a Cloud-based environment

  • Experience with the Cyber Security needs for a multi-platform, international environment

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies and overall general knowledge of IT infrastructure

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives

  • A customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent employee experience

  • A high degree of integrity and honesty; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in complex and sensitive situations

  • Excellent relationship management skills, with a keen ability to work collaboratively and develop trust

  • Experience in planning and managing complex projects

  • A Bachelor's degree
