Fellowes Channel Development Manager in Itasca, Illinois

The Role

This is a newly added role within our Sales organization, specifically focused on our fast-growing air treatment category of products (AeraMax and AeraMax Pro). The Channel Development Manager is a hybrid position, to include focuses on hunting and developing as well as building out and managing long-standing relationships. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact on a high-priority category and be an integral part of its long-term, sustainable strategy.

This position can be based in any major U.S. metropolitan area.

You will…

  • Focus on channel development and new customer acquisition for Fellowes Air Treatment

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute on growth strategies in service of scaling our new routes to market, driving sales and brand awareness

  • Manage new account set up and maintenance

  • Handle onboarding and training for re-seller sales forces

  • Prepare pitches, presentations and other marketing approaches based on customer needs

  • Organize and participate in industry events, customer visits and trade shows, and support the sales team in closing deals

  • Support the effort to identify the available and technologically matching solution to customers’ requests

  • Build a collaborative partnership with our marketing team informing them of key customer and category trends while building programs to increase market share and drive channel expansion

  • Travel domestically between 30-50% as needed

What You Bring to the Team

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, business development, account management and partnership development within janitorial/sanitation, facilities management, HVAC, environmental services, MRO/industrial or other similar B2B distribution space

  • A bachelor’s degree

  • Solution-selling experience for a more technical product line

  • Exceptional self-motivation and self-directedness, with high energy to lead activities

  • Confident and clear communication, with the ability to defend ideas with objectivity

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Extremely strong written, verbal and communication skills (including proposal writing and presentation building)

  • The ability to identify right contacts and create opportunities for account mining

  • The ability to work with ambiguities of customer requirements and vision

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and sales strategy skills

  • The desire to help establish a new business area with a pioneering and entrepreneurial mindset

  • A drive for results (drives issue resolution)

  • A professional and positive attitude, with the ability to coordinate a global interdisciplinary development team
