Job Title: Senior European Account Manager Textile and Industrial - (EU-Turkey)

Summary:In this role, you will be accountable for profitable and sustainable growth in the assigned Markets.

You will also be developing, maximizing and maintaining long term relationships as well as executing the sales strategy for the Process Industries Business. Furthermore, you will have to develop potential and existing customers and distributors in order to enhance customer satisfaction, customer retention and company sales. As postholder you will be motivated with a strong work ethic, possess excellent communication skills and be able to have a deep understanding of the market including chemistry and regulatory.

Responsibilities Include:

Accountable for developing, maximizing and maintaining long term relationship with potential and existing Accounts in order to enhance customer satisfaction, customer retention, and company sales.

Strategic responsibility for:

  • Managing the Process Industries Accounts in Europe and exceptionally outside of Europe and manage Distributors in assigned area.

  • Leverage knowledge of markets/products and MPM Reach to maintain and develop plans with the Strategic Distributor LATRO.

  • Establish and maintain the Regional Strategy for Textile and Industrial Market.

  • In collaboration with the Segment Leader and Marketing team Develop appropriate sales strategies and tactics to win in the targeted markets.

  • Lead and drive growth at or above AOP target levels including being accountable for the assigned accounts.

  • Ensure execution of the strategies and remove roadblocks that may prevent adoption developing new opportunities and strategies.

  • Work closely in conjunction with Segment Leader , Marketing, Technology and ADE resources to drive results.

  • Effectively collect market intelligence to gain a thorough understanding of the marketplace and feed it back into the marketing team.

  • Develop and roll out key metrics, dashboards, and relevant data that will need to be collected in order to make full use of the CRM-platform, ensure visit reports, contacts and other key data are recorded.

  • Establish and build strong working relationships with key people at assigned distribution and direct customers for Process Industries to support goals and objectives.

  • Coordinating travel, arrange meetings, in order to grow business for defined customer base. Being fully responsible for his/her cost management such as entertainment and other expenses associated with sales activities within the agreed allocated annual budget.

  • Pro-actively solve business problems that prevent from achieving the sales targets. Determining customers’ unmet needs and translating internally for appropriate follow up.

  • Establish price strategies and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders' best options to gain business and maintain profitability.

  • Ensure the Sales team is in compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the region/country as well as with the Momentive internal policy.

  • Fully responsible for his/her cost management such as travelling, entertainment and other expenses associated with sales activities within the Delegation of Authorities (DOA) granted and annual budget allocated

  • To be successful, this role will need to work closely with other members of the team including the Regional and Global Segment Leaders, the Global Product Manager, and the Global Technology Leader to ensure that all plans and strategies are aligned.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • B.S. degree in chemical or related field

  • Over 10 years of professional experience in industry with a minimum of 5 years in a sales related role

  • Fluent English (speaking and reading)

  • Strong cross-functional manager who can foster teamwork and drive change throughout the organization

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Proven ability to develop and execute on strategies generating positive results

  • Self-directed and independent working style

  • Must be able to identify and bring to a resolution difficult problems

  • Culturally aware due to various regions/countries being engaged

  • Excellent communication skills (written/spoken)

  • Energetic, self-motivated and strong team player

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, SAP, CRM-tools (SFDC)

The following are preferred for the role

  • MBA preferred

  • Working knowledge of Textile and Industrial market, customers, and technologies

  • Second language is a bonus

  • Previous sales, marketing and/or technical experience
