As a Head Of Partner Markets in AMET Zone within our BU & Function Leadership team, you’ll help to manage the highly complex nature of the business area and ensuring that the appropriate strategic plans are delivered within an agreed operating framework.

Job Purpose:

Defines the strategy development related to operations in the export/partner markets. Responsible for the P&L delivery for all the Partner Markets in AMET. Consistently looks for and implements strategies to maximise market share, sales and operating profitability.

To achieve success it is critical that the Head of Partner Markets:

  • Manage the key relationships in the markets; Distributors

  • Deliver profitability, manage effective Gross to Net and Stock in Trade

  • Ensure activity in line with high standard of ethics and business integrity

  • Develop and lead the Commercial Partner Markets Team

KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder management and relations with the key market players

  • Develop and implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization (including where applicable consolidation of distributors/having better distribution contracts, as needed by the business)

  • Develop and execute business plans in the Partner markets in order to win market opportunities and maximize profitability and market share in line with the AMET Zone strategies / objectives

  • Delivery of key financial metrics of the business in line with approved Zone budget

  • Ensure achievement of company’s financial objectives such as sales, profitability and market share through management of strategic marketing and customer relationship activities of the business unit

  • Develop appropriate KPIs to measure operational performance, implement the corresponding measurement tools, and manage the actual results to ensure achievement of the KPIs

  • Ensure cost-efficiency at all times

  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the company`s goals and objectives; control budget and expenses within given parameter.

  • Foster cooperation with other functional areas of the company through the use of cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent development of the company’s initiatives

  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings

  • Deliver and promote Sanofi CHC values and competencies. Ensure business ethics and compliance is adhered to as per Sanofi standards

  • Actively participate and contribute into Zone LT meetings and discussion, to ensure the implementation of the key decisions and to act in in line with company values and business ethics

People Leadership

  • Where applicable performance manages the team through setting and reviewing priorities, provide timely feedback about performance and coaches team members to help them achieve their goals

  • Supports the professional and career development of the team by identifying the skills and competencies that employees need for their current and prospective roles and provide opportunities to learn and practice new skills

  • Leads the building of a motivated and engaged team through the use of formal and informal recognition, regular communications and the encouragement of cooperation between individuals and teams

Maintain Compliance

  • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company

  • Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Education Level: minimum Bachelor’s Business Administration degree & MBA - is a plus

  • Experience: 10 to 15 years of commercial / sales and/ or marketing experience

  • FMCG experience is a plus

  • Prior experience on working on Joint Business Plans with Distributors is a must
