The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more.

As part of GPS, the Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell intelligent edge and intelligent cloud devices and solutions with partners, including OEMs, device distribution channels, original design manufacturers, and Silicon providers.

We work closely with our device ecosystem and internal business groups to build devices that consume our cloud, innovate with device partners, and transform how we sell devices and services with partners. Opportunities in DPS are expansive because we span the entire product lifecycle -- from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the design-in, sell-in, and sell-through motions that help our partners engage consumers, students, and businesses worldwide. The Commercial Category Manager drives priorities, initiatives, and growth plans to exceed Windows Pro and Education device targets, maintaining or increasing overall Windows Pro commercial share in all markets. They lead 2-3 initiatives for Office productivity attach and 2-3 initiatives for Server software sales with partners. This role is crucial for DPS success, owning the Go-To-Market strategy at partners, inspiring best-in-class plans with cutting-edge digital marketing, campaigns, readiness, and product portfolio amplification, ensuring high ROI on Microsoft investments. Joining this team contributes significantly to the multi-billion-dollar Modern Workplace business's continued growth. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and insights to identify business opportunities and risks.

  • Monitor industry and competitor developments and foster technological acumen to maintain a competitive edge and stay updated on Microsoft's advancements and recommend partner strategies for growth.

  • Collaborating with the Worldwide Portfolio team, you'll understand the latest device developments and articulate their value proposition. With a deep understanding of the market, competition, and technology, you'll build a visionary strategic plan encompassing products, readiness strategies, programs, and digital marketing.

  • Working closely with channel partners, you'll develop world-class account plans, support the customer journey, and resolve challenges.

  • Your communication, empathy, and decision-making skills will be crucial in finding effective solutions. You'll drive digital marketing strategies with partners, executing comprehensive plans and leveraging data to optimize performance and enhance online presence.

  • Facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions, you'll empower employees and channel partners with industry insights and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Maximizing return on investment, you'll develop and implement strategies for marketing campaigns, analyzing performance data and making data-driven recommendations to drive strong business outcomes.
