Sales Manager Opportunity

North Puget Sound Market

Responsible for the overall management of all aspects of the Outside Sales team including; safety, business development, customer strategy, customer relationship, pricing and people development. This position develops, leads, and executes the strategies and tactics necessary to meet location financial and operational goals.

  • In conjunction with other Sales Managers and area management, SM will develop sales budgets and strategies in order to meet location and Area goals.

  • Provides the necessary leadership to develop, coach and motivate a high performing sales team.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities also include; interviewing, hiring, training, planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and coaching associates.

  • Maintaining the highest standards of customer service and problem resolution.

North Puget Sound – Seattle, Wa. – This SM will manage a high performing team of lumber, millwork & windows, and truss salespeople. Overall sales volume of combined team is $125M, with plenty of upside for revenue and people growth. The North Market consists of 3 Lumber, 3 Truss and 2 Ready Frame locations. Strong Market with lots of potential, need strong SM looking for professional and personal growth opportunity.

Required Skills

  • Minimum Education: Bachelors in business management, marketing or related field.

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and local building codes and compliance requirements.

  • Tech-savvy with a strong emphasis on MS Office.

  • Demonstrated management experience.

  • Working knowledge of sales forecasting and analysis.

  • Strong sales and marketing skills.

    Required Experience

Four-year college degree preferred but not required and or six years of Sales and Sales Management experience in the lumber and or building materials industry with multiple assignments in all phases of the business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge/experience in building materials, construction services, sales, pricing, procurement, and supervision of people is ideal.
