Overview

The Director of Corporate Finance will be the lead partner to the Chief Financial Officer. This role requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of insurance brokerage finance, is a strong financial storyteller, is highly analytical, can lead through influence, and can work in a fast-paced and Private Equity-backed environment. This leader will be part of the firm’s Finance Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Day-today partner and advisor to World’s CFO

  • Develop a trusted and transparent relationship with PE Sponsors to adequately respond to day-to-day inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Manage the quarterly compliance reporting requirements of the firm, ensuring all schedules are completed, reviewed, and are prepared in accordance with the requirements of our credit agreements

  • Partner with FP&A and PE Sponsors to manage the long-range plan of the firm, prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses, and recommend practices to ensure we achieve our long-range plan

  • Maintain share price schedules on a quarterly basis, and assist CHRO in preparing financial results for executive bonus plan

  • Manage unrestricted cash analytics on a weekly basis.  Be deeply invested in this critically important process

  • Partner with CFO on all board meeting deliverables, which requires heavy PowerPoint work and financial storytelling

  • Assist with Retail finance deliverables (budget, forecast, reporting)

  • Provide analytical insights, recommendations, and solutions to drive operational efficiency across all of Finance and Accounting

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes, recommend enhancements and automation opportunities, and collaborate with Operations team on implementation

  • Communicate effectively with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, as necessary

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management.  Master’s degree a plus

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance sector in a business partnership role

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior executives, investors, Sponsors, and other colleagues

  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise messaging for various stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong ability to work in a cross-functional and matrixed environment, exhibiting leadership and influential management abilities.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Commitment to ethical business practices, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.

    This role is primarily located in World’s Iselin, NJ office, with periodic travel as required.
