The Center for Learning and Belonging is seeking an Assistant Group Supervisor who wants to be make a big impact in the lives of young children we are proud to care for each and every day.

As an Assistant Group Supervisor you will make sure our young children have a safe and fun learning environment at the Center for Learning and Belonging. You will use creative and educational activities to engage our children to learn and grow. You have the opportunity to play with our children during free time, read stories, and help with projects to bring home for the fridge. You will ensure that they get safely onto and off of the school bus each day. As an Assistant Group Supervisor you will also make sure our children have healthy meals and snacks as well as a clean and safe place for them to spend their days.     What are the responsibilities of a Assistant Group Supervisor?

  • Assists with the implementation of daily program activities under the guidance of

  • the director and group supervisor.

  • Coordinates daily group activities.

  • Assists daycare aides.

  • Assists with maintaining the well-being of children under their care.

  • Ensure children get safely onto and off of the school bus at the beginning and end of each day. 

  • Monitors children to ensure they play and interact with one another in a safe and

  • appropriate manner.

  • Ensure children have good hygiene and changes diapers as needed.

  • Cleans interactive areas throughout the day.

  • Prepares snacks and meals for children.

  • Attends and participates in daily/weekly/monthly team meetings.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient

  • and effective functioning of the Center of Learning and Belonging.

    What are the qualifications needed for an Assistant Group Supervisor? 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • 2 years of employment or minimum of 2,500 hours of employment experience with children.

  • Must be able to play with children in various ways including standing, kneeling,

    and playing on the floor.

  • Must be able to move up to fifty (50) pounds.
