Job Title: Forklift Operator/Production Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking FORKLIFT OPERATORS in Irvington, Alabama (Mobile area).This is a full time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package. *Summary:Drivesindustrial forklift truckto push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
- Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, and fills fuel tank.
- Assists in inspecting machinery and identifying the needs for repairs and maintenance.
- Reports quality deficiencies, shortages, and/or damaged goods.
- Keeps record of inventory.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, Must have previous forklift experience
