Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Irving, Texas, 75061, United States. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have a critical role in our team, managing multiple accounting functions and ensuring the accurate and timely production of financial records. This role involves a range of responsibilities from cost accounting and monthly tax reporting to financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Support accounting services for selected processes and countries, including accounting for administrative expenses and coordinating month-end general ledger close.

• Prepare and review account reconciliation, cash application, fixed assets, and lease accounting.

• Verify, allocate, post, reconcile transactions, and resolve discrepancies in subsidiary accounts.

• Oversee the maintenance and balancing of sales-tax filings in various states and business licenses.

• Supervise and review the work performed by Staff Accountants.

• Prepare and provide documentation for external auditors.

• Ensure internal controls are in place and monitored, and all accounting is done in accordance with policies and US GAAP.

• Handle ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.

• Lead business process improvement initiatives working cross-functionally, as needed.

• Assist with budgeting, month-end close, and some financial analysis. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes

• Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger

• Skilled in creating and managing journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

• Experience in month end close processes

• Familiarity with SAP and MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred

• Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role.
