Compliance & Assurance Senior Program Managers perform and oversee a variety of tasks pursuant to managing regulatory requirements for the Data Operations team within the Chief Data Office. Compliance & Assurance Senior Program Managers will be responsible for process creation, automation, and ongoing process improvement within the Data Operations team to ensure timeliness and ease of use in our progress reporting on regulatory matters. These matters include updates and status on Regulatory Obligations for the Data Operations team. Additionally, the C&A Senior Program Managers will be responsible for handling escalations where needed when gathering status updates from leadership across the CDO/CAO (Chief Administrative Office) to ensure we are providing timely updates and working cohesively, and cooperatively with our peer organizations. Compliance & Assurance Senior Program Managers will provide value in driving the collaborative participation of the community on best practices that align with reporting processes and procedures, while actively looking for ways to better inform and improve the process overall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, write and articulate scoping documents for different regulatory obligations, understand how each regulatory obligation is related to another and to the broader Data Concern Remediation Management framework.

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of closure documents for regulatory obligations owned by the Data Operations team.

  • Closely partner with the Chief Data Office Leadership Team and provide clear guidance on the status across regulatory reporting areas to the Data Operations team.

  • Own the team’s information gathering and reporting efforts. Proactively ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and manage duties of the team with a positive and helpful attitude.

  • Develop and drive partnerships with beneficiaries of the Compliance and Assurance team (Data Operations Leaders, and other Reporting teams) to capture and consolidate feedback, and updates on a regular interval.

  • Identify, report, escalate and initiate course correction where needed for data on reporting efficacy by polling/interviewing end-users/beneficiaries of our efforts, to improve the program, approach and outputs of our team. Gather, synthesize and distill detailed information to deliver crisp and succinct executive-level communication.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects including delivery and management level communications.

  • Develop content for relevant governance forums.

  • Lead the team to ensure appropriate measures are in place to monitor and control effectiveness of information gathering and reporting. Develop business requirements, process mapping of current and future state processes, communication applications of new processes and facilitating the change management program to move to the new process.

  • Manage documentation of the overall process, maintaining and version controlling all process documentation within the Compliance and Assurance team.

  • Delegate and / or deliver ad-hoc requests pertaining to Chief Data Office – Data Operations leadership requests.

  • Participate in training activities, specific to industry and Regulatory Compliance Processes in order to grow as an expert in the discipline.

  • Brainstorm strategies for growth, positive change and improvement based on the newly formed processes.

  • Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Operation Leadership, and Reporting Teams within the CDO).

  • Proactively take ownership of assigned areas of ownership, training and be timely in execution.

  • Ensure alignment and compliance with Citi Data Governance Policies, Standards and Procedures.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: regulatory reporting, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience.

  • Able to leverage strong business acumen to effectively interact with senior leaders and a broad variety of stakeholders.

  • Applies critical-thinking for problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Process design or improvement experience.

  • Experience with regulatory management, reporting, and creating regulatory materials.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to work autonomously.

  • Optimizes work processes by balancing effective / efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrates ability to balance between seeing the “big picture” while paying close attention to detail.

  • Organizationally savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret. Pragmatic problem solver, forward thinker with independence of thought.

  • Financial industry experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels. An undergraduate degree is required.

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
