THE JOB
The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is seeking a security team member for our opening supervisor shift. Hours could vary but generally are 5:30AM-11:30AM. This crew member will guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Level 2 Security License is required. Ability to obtain within 30 days of employment is OK.
90% of scheduled work hours will be outside
Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to guest inquiries and complaints,
Lead staff, ongoing staff training, staff positioning, ensuring that all staff members are well-informed on event specific details and managing breaks.
Assist the Security Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department, as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Oversees productivity and work assignments of the security staff and communicates with the Security Manager (or designated Manager) any challenges and status of all assignments prior to the conclusion of the shift.
Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
Train and evaluate security team members in venues.
Assign and schedule team members to specific duties.
Role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager.
Willingness to manually open and close gates.
Be able and willing to work at least 80% or more of the events in the building.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Guard Card a plus .
Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50lbs+ and sitting for extended periods of time.
