The Team:

This position supports Citi's Product & Platform Engineering efforts mainly focusing on areas like intelligent process automation, Generative AI, Machine Learning Models and existing process and technology upgrades that all ensure consistent alignment to Citi's ongoing transformational efforts.

The Role:

The AI & Automation Technical Project Manager should be a highly technical, experienced project orchestrator with strong relationship building and problem solving skills driven by a passion for delivery excellence. Candidates should have experience building relationships and influencing collaborators to facilitate all project deliverables in complex, enterprise environments. This role works to identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels. While the product and delivery strategy may be defined, the design is not so the ability to effectively gather all the necessary project requirements, while mitigating setbacks in consistent alignment to project timelines is essential to success for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate project status updates and challenges to senior leadership and project stakeholders in a concise, accurate manner with proper documentation as needed

  • Utilize project management experience to effectively address project elements with tact like the customer experience, build and delivery processes, and any problems or challenges that arise

  • Identify blocking issues and manage their resolution, anticipate bottlenecks and adequately factor in contingencies for unplanned delays

  • Provide escalation management to identify, assess, track and mitigate issues/risks at multiple levels as needed

  • Work across multiple products, Scrum teams, and/or technologies as needed

  • Determine if success metrics are in place and if not, work to define them

  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business where appropriate

  • Align dependent organizations while mitigating any challenges or issues that could cause delays

  • Work directly with external to Global Digital or external to Citi technology providers and customers

  • Understand the needs of the engineers, business and technical operations teams who have to build, maintain, and operate the system for the life of the system

  • Recognize complex designs and propose simplified solutions by working with software design engineers, principals, and other project delivery colleagues

  • Help customers, business and the engineering teams make trade-off decisions by considering all of the data including business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience, and maintainability

  • Partner with industry vendors that provide technology or user experience design components that support our Digital architecture and work with vendors on our implementation plans and roadmaps identifying additional partnership opportunities to increase our development velocity and our learnings

  • Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations

  • Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives

  • Streamline and/or eliminate excess process in any area of the architecture, production operations environment, or business area where the same efforts (or issues) are repeated year-over-year

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience successfully delivering highly technical, Agile technology projects working directly with software development teams

  • High-level understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) , Machine Learning models and AI Automation concepts and principles of is highly preferred

  • Prior hands-on experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or comparable experience is highly preferred

  • Ability to visualize and plan the evolution of technical capabilities to support business goals in alignment to technical roadmaps

  • Strong experience and understanding around the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with knowledge of planning, writing, modifying, and maintaining software through various stages

  • Significant experience managing complex business and/or transactional models

  • Expert proficiency with prioritization, organization, and cross-function communication and collaboration

  • Experience working with diverse technical and non-technical teams/stakeholders to achieve common goals efficiently

  • Strong analytical, communicative, and quantitative skills with technical and non-technical management teams

  • Ability to motivate and collaborate to reach challenging goals

  • Experience with building and launching a new product or service from the ground up and/or experience with external facing production systems is preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

$138,720.00 - $208,080.00
