Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Irving, Texas. The role will primarily involve managing accounts payable tasks within our organization. The industry in which we operate is fast-paced and dynamic, demanding a high level of accuracy and efficiency in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process a significant volume of invoices for various entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain regular communication with vendors, addressing any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments.

• Manage transactions in the accounts payable system, ensuring that invoices are entered accurately and promptly.

• Reconcile vendor statements to guarantee all invoices are accounted for and paid on time.

• Prepare and process payments, including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers, following company policies and payment terms.

• Assist in closing processes at the end of the month and year, making sure all accounts payable transactions are recorded.

• Ensure payments are made on time to prevent late fees or service disruptions.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts when required.

• Leverage accounting software systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable processes.

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding is necessary for this role.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems is essential.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Must have the ability to work with Concur.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed.

• Must be able to handle various accounting functions.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is expected.

• Understanding of accrual accounting is crucial.

• Prior experience in auditing is necessary.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is a plus.
