Infrastructure Sector Leader – Southwest

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Your Role: As Infrastructure Sector Leader Southwest you will be a business unit leader building a new team in the Southwest, which includes states we have existing offices (California and Arizona) and adjoining states. Your leadership will directly shape the career paths of your team, influence client experiences and ensure the seamless execution and excellence of our projects. From spearheading recruitment to crafting succession plans, your role is integral to nurturing our incredible team. Our current business sectors range in size from 15 to 40 people.

  • Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: You will be a positive influence on our team of professionals that are purposefully focused on water consulting through your mentorship, leadership, and participation in forming and executing strategi initiatives.

  • Project Oversight & Execution: Increase your impact on the communities we work and live through your expertise and guidance on projects from conception to completion, focusing on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Your role is crucial in translating complex engineering challenges into actionable plans.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director of Operations (Director of Operations reports to the President/CEO)

Other key relationships: Other Business Sector leaders, Business Development Director, President/CEO, CFO, and Area Market Leads. Supported by HR, Finance and IT.

Major Responsibilities

  • As Sector leader you will be responsible for all of the Sector’s activities. These responsibilities include staff recruitment and development, team growth and profitability, quality control, marketing, business development, and fostering good overall team morale and positive client relationships. At times, you may also function as a senior project manager on strategic projects/programs.

  • You will develop, lead, and execute a multi-year strategic plan looking at areas for growth in the Sector in alignment with West Yost’s values and strategic vision. You have the ultimate responsibility to reliably deliver on current strategic initiatives while also determining how to capitalize on undeveloped new services, clients, or geographies.

  • You have “responsible autonomy” for all decisions related to fulfilling the group’s mission and goals. You will be supported by a collaborative network of technical and operational leaders across the company, including the President/CEO that share a common goal of team success.
