Join the Balloons R&D team to help develop products that directly save lives. Edwards Lifesciences is looking for a Balloons Senior Technician, R&D to help pioneer next-generation balloon technology in support of our balloon expandable transcatheter heart valve (THV) platforms. This position will support balloon development efforts for next generation heart valve replacement devices as well as research initiatives on new balloon technologies to address the anticipated needs of future applications. This technician role will be supporting balloon development from prototyping through balloon manufacturing.

Supporting the Engineering team with:
Balloon inspection
Balloon functional testing
Balloon burst testing
Data collection and entry
Balloon blow molding
Equipment troubleshooting
Equipment maintenance
Equipment management via Maximo system
Tooling inventory management
Other incidental duties as assigned by management
What you'll need:
Associate's Degree or equivalent Technical Degree/Certification and 2+ years of in R&D Lab environment or medical device experience - OR -
4 + years of experience in R&D Lab environment or medical device experience including experience operating, troubleshooting, & maintaining equipment Required
What else we look for:
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite
Ability to use manufacturing, testing, and measuring equipment
Ability to read and understand procedures, drawings, and schematics
Good interpersonal, and relationship building skill
Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to lab and/or clean room medical device manufacturing

For California, the base pay range for this position is $49,000 to $70,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
