FirstService Residential Seasonal Part Time Facility Monitor in Irvine, California

Job Overview:

The Seasonal Part Time Facility Monitor oversees the activity at two (2) pool facilities, a clubhouse, and three (3) parks which include, a half basketball court, pickleball court, and tot lot, to assure adherence to Community Guidelines.

Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

12:30PM - 9:00PM

Compensation: $22 - $23 an hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Explain and enforce Community Guidelines to guests.
  • Observe facilities to detect hazardous conditions.
  • Check-in and review members access card and take appropriate measures to enforce removal of unauthorized attendees.
  • Remain alert at all times. Walk the facilities on a regular basis to assure proper usage within facilities.
  • Maintain a pleasant environment for guests.
  • Provide checks of cleanliness for all facilities.
  • Provide assistance with community events where needed.
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures.

  • An ability to follow oral and written directions, keep accurate records, fill out logs and journals, and perform administrative operational functions.
  • Must be capable of being bonded.
  • Verbal ability to effectively communicate with homeowners, vendors, Board members and management staff.
  • Must be able to hear in order to receive telephone calls and voice mail messages.
  • Must be mobile in order to move around operational facilities to perform inspections, provide oversight, and monitor facility users.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of the operations workforce in actions, words and deeds.
  • Must be a creative problem solver.
  • Proficient in English.

Education & Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • Part time seasonal, 24 hours per week, nonexempt. It necessary to work various holidays and/or weekends. Flexible weekday & weekend work required, and occasional overtime may occur.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must be mobile enough to walk around the community.

  • Consistent and regular attendance required.

Travel:

  • Possess dependable transportation, a valid California State Driver's License, and the state mandated vehicle insurance.
