Biosense Webster, Inc., a member of The Johnson & Johnson’s Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Professional Education Specialist based remotely within the United States which may require up to 50% of domestic travel.
Biosense Webster, Inc. is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The company established its leadership in electrophysiology with the development of the first real-time, 3D cardiac mapping and navigation technology, as well as the first electrophysiology catheter.
The Professional Education Specialist will lead Biosense Webster, Inc. (BWI) Professional Education activities with an emphasis on Therapy Advancement initiatives. The primary focus of this role will be to ensure the execution of virtual and in-person training strategies for healthcare professionals in the field of Electrophysiology. Under the direction of the U.S. Professional Education Manager, the Professional Education Specialist will work in close collaboration with business partners, primarily Therapy Advancement and US Commercial Marketing teams, to develop and enable educational programs and educational resources for healthcare professionals, helping Biosense Webster, Inc. to be recognized as best in the industry for clinical performance and knowledge dissemination.
Key Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, general direction, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position will:
Plan and execute educational programs including preceptorship (TEC/Training Expertise Center) and peer-to-peer education programs, virtually and in-person, with program faculty.
Ensure program partners and faculty are familiar with BWI technology and accurately trained to train health care professional customers.
Provide communication and follow up with the program facilities, attendees, and BWI field-based partners.
Ensure training meets key learning objectives for healthcare professionals in the field of Electrophysiology, aligned with BWI Marketing strategies.
Develop processes to assess efficiency, outcomes, and return on investment of programs via direct and indirect feedback.
Refine event facilitation process and train internal hosts and physician faculty on hosting/facilitation methodologies.
Design, develop, and facilitate clinical educational content, incorporating stakeholder copy approval support (including Health Care Compliance, Medical Science, Commercial Marketing, and key physician collaboration).
Handle budget planning, costs, and materials, including oversight of administrative support for event planning.
Assess demand for new programs, modifications of existing programs, based upon follow-up, customer satisfaction and utilization.
Cross-train with Professional Education teammates to support other programs as needed.
Educate field sales personnel are aware of programs, registration, and enrollment processes.
Attend key training programs, symposia, and conferences.
Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $88,000 to $124,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Qualifications:
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Required Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 6 years professional experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Electrophysiology in a customer-facing role
Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Experience handling large quantities of data, including collection and analysis (in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Proven track record of having challenging discussions with key physicians to modify behaviors and promote the best training practices
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Strong clinical understanding of Electrophysiology, specific to mapping/ablation of complex arrhythmias
Experience handling key customer relationships and working with Key Opinion Leading Electrophysiologists
Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
Other:
- This position can be based remotely in the US and may require up to 50% domestic travel
