Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic People Ambassador to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact while expanding their human resources expertise. As a key partner to the business, you will play an integral role in developing and implementing people-focused initiatives. This hybrid position provides a unique blend of responsibilities, supporting both front office operations and the human resources department.
Essential Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for employees and guests by welcoming them to the building, answering inquiries, and managing phone calls.
Monitor lobby activity, maintain access control, and ensure guest registration adheres to ITAR and safety requirements.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, providing necessary support to managers and employees.
Support HR initiatives, such as university relations, internship programs, and rewards/recognition programs.
Assist in coordinating and executing hiring process activities by working closely with HRBPs.
Partner with EHS and compliance teams to enhance the site's safety culture and manage Workers' Compensation claims.
Oversee the leave of absence process, guiding employees on how to file claims for company and state benefits, documenting approvals, and coordinating with managers and third-party administrators.
Communicate people-related initiatives, organizational announcements, and events to keep employees informed of HR services and business updates.
Prepare reports, presentations, and maintain HR records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
Participate in employee engagement initiatives and help create internal communications for the site.
Provide administrative support for HR and business operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Prior experience in customer service, HR, or front desk roles, ideally in a mid to large-sized manufacturing environment.
Strong customer-focused mindset with a proactive, positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and consultative skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and professionals.
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
Knowledge of employment laws, including Federal and California Leave Laws (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
