You will assist manufacturing engineers in supporting activities around process improvements, application of lean six sigma tools, preparing technical reports, and project coordination in support of the value stream production process.

With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the engineering function by:

· Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Presents findings and underlying rationale to team, supplier, or customer.

· Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures process control and reliability for assigned areas.

· Coordinating input and recommendations and implements changes that may cross multiple teams or areas.

· Maintaining product and process database by writing computer programs, travelers, operation sheets, and entering data.

· Refining and enhancing product and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production.

· Projects to work on: 5S implementation in Servo area, RSC Cage, and on the Production floor.

The requirements to be part of the Programs are:

  • Being enrolled in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in a related engineering field such as: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Must be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2024

  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD systems such as AutoCad, ProE, etc.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
