Responsibilities:

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of the global strategy marketing team driving strategic and business goals for the cataract surgical suite portfolio.

Broader responsibilities will include:

  • Participate and help build the overall short-term and long-term strategies by partnering with internal and external collaborators to identify growth opportunities and through deep understanding of target markets, evolving technology and healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, customer unmet needs, and market and geographic-specific factors.

  • Collaborate on the development of product portfolio long term vision and roadmap by gaining actionable customer insights, testimonies, and recommendations through execution of primary/secondary research, customer visits, KOL visits, and Advisory Boards.

  • Support upstream portfolio planning activities in various stages of the product life cycle from launch through phase out including New Product Introduction (NPI) Gate Review process and collaboration with R&D, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain and others.

  • Own brand marketing to grow equity for CATALYS and the future digital workflow and products.

  • Successfully use the J&J Launch Excellence framework to lead new product and portfolio extension launches, including development of business plans, initial value proposition, claims generation, go-to-market approach, promotional and partnership opportunities as well as working with early adopters, pilot sites, and Limited Market Release to collect feedback and refine our product offering and market approach.

  • Support on market product portfolio by ensuring marketing collateral is available, up-to-date, and reflects existing marketing initiatives.

  • Lead monitoring, analysis and reporting of business performance, market conditions and dynamics to advance day-to-day business.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA equivalent is strongly preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years working experience.

  • At least 3 years of marketing or related experience.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Strong business analytics and financial competence.

  • Ability to effectively connect with customers (surgeons) and internal partners.

  • Ability to champion product innovation and promote change through indirect influence.

  • Ability to identify emerging trends in health, technology, or related fields.

  • Ability to prioritize and lead complex project workstreams across multiple dimensions.

Preferred:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority, gain cross-functional support and drive business direction.

  • Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups.

  • Medical device, ophthalmology sector experience.

  • New product development experience.

Other:

  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel, including overnights and occasional weekends is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year.

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
