ATI is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to join our facility located in Irvine, CA. The Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for facilitating and assisting efforts to continually improve and standardize business processes, identifying and implementing best practices, establishing metrics on the shop floor, and standardizing and assisting with training at all levels of the organization within Irvine Operations. The Continuous Improvement Leader works with all employees in addressing opportunities for continuous improvement and will be expected to apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing to improve processes, product quality, and employee knowledge.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with plant leadership to achieve all established business objectives by driving Continuous Improvement, improving quality performance, eliminating process waste, improve process efficiency and increasing the skills and engagement with all employees.

  • Employee project management skills to track, oversee, and communicate to all levels of the organization all continuous improvement projects.

  • Champion, mentor, and facilitate the task standardization processes.

  • Integrate leadership skills with Lean Manufacturing principals and expertise to guide and train employees at all levels of the organization in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.

  • Develop standards for all aspects of an operation: operator training, incoming material requirements, process parameters, process supplies, equipment condition, task performance, and final product quality requirements.

  • With input from employees and managers, assist in the identification and implementation of the best practice for each operation or process.

  • Ensure that appropriate and adequate training of personnel is conducted and maintained.

  • Identify and eliminate waste in processes and practices.

  • Facilitate 5S events and train employees regarding the benefits of an organized work space.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events and train employees regarding the benefits of a standardized and disciplined approach to the job.

  • Audit operations and processes for strict adherence to standard practices.

  • Assist in the resolution of production, equipment, and system problems, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Assist in the development and revision of standard work.

  • Assist or lead training sessions for all levels of company employees.

  • Benchmark against other internal and external companies.

Basic Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or business discipline

  • A minimum of 5 year of experience in an industrial setting

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with project management and implementation of LEAN principles

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects to completion

  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrated leadership qualities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to teach others

  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) and Internet applications

Pay Range: $84,590 - $135,190
