Aerotek Hazardous Waste Technician in Irondale, Ohio

Aerotek is hiring for Entry Level Hazardous Waste Technician in East Liverpool,OH!

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as a Hazardous Waste Technician. This long-term role involves handling hazardous waste from 55-gallon drums (liquid, solid, rock, etc.). We provide all necessary tools, and while forklift experience is a plus, training will be provided if needed.

Successful candidates will also receive HazMat certification and safety training. The position requires owning steel-toed boots and includes a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, averaging 48 hours a week.

Hard Skills

  • Forklift operation

  • HAZWOPER certificate (plus)

  • Firefighting experience (plus)

  • OSHA 24 Hour certification

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including a respirator

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Work Environment

The role is not in a climate-controlled environment and involves wearing full personal protective equipment including glass, hard hat, lab coat, steel toe boots, and respirator. Candidates must be open to working all shifts and hours.
